inspo:
I appreciate the beauty of flaws and imperfections, such as a wilting branch of a coast saltbush,
an interesting shape of a rusty metal scrap, or an unpolished bumpy clay tile.
It's there that I get my inspiration.
I want to develop the juxtapose concept between beauty product and elements on the verge of collapsing after completing its life purpose. I romanticize women's aging marks on their skin by intentionally letting it reflect on the props' surface with imperfect, eroded materials.
manifesto:
Skin transformation as women join their 40s club is terrific for those who appreciate it and are prepared for it. It no longer looks as plump and smooth as it once did. And that is okay, and real and true. But when too much negativity creeps in, as an anti-aging cosmetic brand, we speak a truth back at those negative thoughts: You are getting older, mature, and have been living a full life. You are beautiful. You have withstood reshaping into a new you to continue aging gracefully as you never stop loving yourself.
